Yay, seems that I’m really in a suck-mood. In the process of calling Debian a sucker, en-passant the National railroad was called a sucker, and, (un)fortunately, I’m coming back at my Debian-sucks. Oh yeah, LDAP sucks too. (“Not bloated” my ass!)
The whole reason is that Ubuntu does have their schemes different than Debian’s. A scheme is how you define data in a LDAP-Tree. Why would that suck? Because you cannot restore a backup from your original tree! (Or migrate)
So for now it seems that I’ll keep on using Debian for Linux-based solutions and FreeBSD for all others. Any good reading on LDAP is welcome.
On the sucks array: making PIZZA yourself doesn’t suck, thus my weekend was saved 😉
